GUZHENG

Chu Yuan started learning Guzheng from the age of 5. At the age of 12, he attained the Gold medal and the "Best Performer" award in the East Zone Chinese Orchestra Instrument Competition (Guzheng Solo-Primary division). Chu Yuan achieved Distinction for both his Guzheng Diploma in Music Performance Examinations conducted by Zheng Professionals, and National University of Singapore (NUS)-Centre for the Arts at the age of 17. Thereafter, he started his teaching career as a private instructor, as well as CCA instructor at various schools after attaining his Instructor License issued by Ministry of Education. He also furthered his studies in Singapore University of Social Sciences and graduated with a Bachelor in Music Education with Psychology in 2021. Currently, he is a full-time Guzheng instructor. 楚元5岁开始学习古筝，小学6年级荣获《东区校际小学组古筝独奏比赛》金牌及最佳金牌表演奖！ 17岁考获《国立大学艺术中心》及《名师筝院》古筝演奏文凭特优。获取教育部课外活动古筝指导老师执照后，也兼任小学古筝课外活动导师。在2021年毕业自新跃社科大学音乐教育系，目前是全职古筝老师。 IG/FB/TT/小红书: @into.thetunes HP: 91738465
