Programme Synopsis Join Loba, the Emotions Explorer, on a magical forest adventure where feelings come alive through dance and play! Guided by the wise and playful Fox, Loba journeys through the forest, discovering how different parts of our bodies, like our eyes, ears, and hearts help us understand and manage big emotions. Through interactive movement, music, and imagination, children are invited to observe, listen, breathe, and dance along, gently building social-emotional skills in a joyful and engaging way. This classroom-friendly performance of Loba, the Emotions Explorer is a simple yet powerful blend of interactive theatre and dance. With just a red suitcase and a few key props, the story unfolds through expressive movement, imaginative storytelling, music, and meaningful interaction. The scaffolded structure ensures each learning moment builds naturally upon the last, creating a cohesive and immersive journey for preschoolers. Thoughtfully designed to support social-emotional learning (SEL), this interactive experience nurtures empathy, self-expression and mindfulness - fostering holistic growth in early childhood development. Learning Points: 1. Observation – Loba learns to observe carefully using binoculars, discovering how details help her understand the world. 2. Active Listening – Loba practices focused listening with a bell or sound-making object, learning the value of paying attention. 3. Guilt and Forgiveness – After stepping on a bird’s nest, Loba learns to take responsibility, seek forgiveness, and be kind to herself. 4. Responsible Communication – Fox apologises for hurtful words, teaching the importance of speaking with kindness. 5. Emotional Regulation – Loba uses a pinwheel or fan to practice deep breathing and calming techniques. 6. Self-Compassion – Both Loba and Fox learn to treat themselves with kindness, modelling self-care and empathy. Objectives: • Foster SEL competencies (emotional awareness, empathy, responsible communication, self-regulation, self-compassion) through interactive theatre and dance. • Promote multi-sensory early arts engagement, creative expression and collaboration, enhancing cognitive, motor, and communication skills. This programme comes with an online resource blog where children and teachers can embark on self-directed learning to further reflect and articulate their thoughts and ideas. Content of online resource: 1. Quizzes 2. Downloadables: Coloring sheet/handicraft e.g. Loba’s red luggage 3. Music videos: Songs with dance moves for emotions Optional: Post-show talk and interaction with Actors/Dancers
