Programme Synopsis A theatre on awareness of Cyber Wellness and Addiction. We live in a time when a physical classroom can be replaced by Zoom; online games have taken over outdoor sports; and social media has become the most efficient way to keep in touch with friends. With online shopping and food delivery apps, many of us barely need to step outside. The digital world is — and will continue to be — an essential part of our lives. Yet, how do we maintain a healthy balance between our online and offline worlds? How can we protect our mental and emotional wellbeing in this hyper-connected age? Meet Nolly, a bright and cheerful 15-year-old. She excels in school, enjoys sports, and has a vibrant social life. She’s also an exceptional gamer. When Sapphire 13, the latest and coolest game, hits the market, Nolly dives right in. What starts as a hobby quickly becomes an obsession. Hours spent gaming stretch late into the night. School lessons feel dull, friends fade into chat boxes, and meal deliveries replace family dinners. Her health and grades begin to decline, yet Nolly remains trapped in her virtual world. Until one day, a letter from school becomes her long-overdue wake-up call… (Optional) A facilitated Post Show Talk with actors exploring: 1) Factors affecting cyber wellness 2) Responsible and ethical use of the internet 3) Cyber safety, privacy, and bullying awareness 4)The importance of vigilance, empathy, and balance This programme comes with an online resource blog where students can embark on self-directed learning to further reflect and articulate their thoughts and ideas.
