Programme Synopsis This digital arts programme will teach students the basics of creating digital art with the use of Digital art software (eg.Adobe Photoshop Sketch, can be different programme based on school requirements). The course will use a combination of practical and academic exercises to build up the student’s skills to a usable level. Learning Objectives: The brief list of skills they will touch upon are as follows 1. Computer literacy 2. Digital Art programme navigation 3. Digital sketching 4. Image Editing 5. Character design 6. Sourcing and using reference 7. Basic rendering techniques The culmination of these skills will be expressed in a mascot/character design that the students will undertake, with guidance from the teachers. Digital/Blended lesson delivery: If students using Chromebook, share screen via Zoom application or equivalent. Using cloud/browser based programmes eg. PhotoPea, Magmastudio.io, Canva etc. Or downloadable programme eg. Krita, Ibis Paint, Procreate etc. Students to upload artworks onto Cloud platforms eg. Padlet, Google classrooms near the end of key sessions for trainer to view and assess their progress.

Lesson Goal #1 Students show they understood how to navigate Digital art programme and use of basic drawing skills and rendering techniques in their mascot design.

Room with access to laptops, Wacom drawing tablets and power outlets, projector, Internet connection. Materials needed by students: Ipads with apple pencils with Digital art programme installed, chargers for Ipads, power outlets and extension cords.

The Tote Board Arts Grant was introduced in 1995 to encourage the development of a vibrant arts culture in schools, and to promote arts appreciation amongst students.

Each year, all MOE schools and ITE Colleges may opt-in to receive the Arts Grant. Schools may use the grant to subsidise the purchase of programmes under the NAC-AEP and for the Artist-in-School Scheme (AISS).

All approved programmes are listed on the NAC-AEP Directory and come with a valid Letter of Eligibility.

Please ensure that a valid Letter of Eligibility (LOE) is obtained. Note that MOE procurement guidelines apply.

Payment should be made directly to the programme provider. Claims for the Arts Grant should be made via IFAAS and in accordance to Grant Guidelines.

Programme providers are permitted to make changes to the following aspects of an NAC-AEP, according to the school’s needs:

  • Programme duration, including no. of sessions
  • Cost of programme
  • Class size



Under the above conditions, schools can make claims based on revised programme costs using the same Programme ID listed on the Letter of Eligibility (LOE).

The following changes are not permitted when customising programmes:

  • Changes to content
  • Inclusion of non-approved instructor(s)
