Programme Synopsis 'Where is my cat? Here's my dog.' is a tale about Na Na, a young courageous girl, and Taco, an old abandoned dog. Living on the street was not easy, Taco's days were always riddled with danger and obstacles. One day, Na Na was playing in a park with her cat when it started to thunder and rain. Na Na instantly grabbed her cat and took shelter. This was how she met Taco, a little skinny scrawny body shivering in a little corner. Na Na couldn't bear to leave Taco alone, so she decided to take things into her own hands. Find out with us what actions did Na Na take to help Taco! This dance theatre explores human compassion and the beauty of trust and friendship, in addition to raising the awareness of animal cruelty and responsibility pet ownership to the young generation. This story is conveyed through the medium of dance and theatre, featuring a fusion of physical theatre as well as three different forms of dance, namely contemporary, ballet and percussion dance. Students will get the opportunity to experience all these different art forms and find appreciation in this engaging way of story telling. Through the arts, we aim to nurture tolerance, empathy, responsibility, and compassion, especially in young students. This is not only vital for the prevention of animal abuse, it also teaches students to respect and treat their friends, family and others with kindness.
