Programme Synopsis Hippity Hop is specially designed for children to gain basic introductory skills and exposure to Hip-hop dance and music. The course will teach children simplified moves, adapted to be developmentally appropriate for young children. It focuses on using repetition, fun and game engagement to build up their confidence as well as their motor skills. Visualisation and Focus games are used to help children remember the sequence of movements in a fun manner. Experienced by hundreds of children and many preschools in Singapore, this programme nurtures children to channel their energy into enjoyable dance combinations and learn basic dance fundamentals through games. The choice of songs used throughout the sessions will be carefully selected for this age group. E.g. Clean versions of popular Hip Hop songs sung by children will be used instead of the original versions. A Hip-hop dance choreography will also be taught, repeated and expanded over 6 sessions, and children will have the opportunity to perform this dance to their teachers and parents during the last session of the programme. This will encourage children's ability to memorise choreography and enhance their attention span and concentration. The mini showcase will also allow them to experience a sense of achievement and feel the joy of performing. At the end of this programme, children will: - Acquire basic Hip-hop dance techniques and simple steps. - Develop an awareness to basic body alignment and simple co-ordination. - Demonstrate a sense of balance and increased flexibility. - Gain confidence in performing and the ability to memorise dance sequences. - Demonstrate self-control and focus during the course of learning. The outline is based on a 6-session programme @ $1500 (maximum 20 students) Customisation to shorter or longer programme/duration is possible. *Cost varies based on customisation. Creative Tree also provides preschool teacher's training for this programme. Programme Format: 1. Live – Instructor to conduct on-site 2. Digital – Instructor to conduct via Zoom
