Programme Synopsis In Manga-nation, students will learn to bring the characters that exist within one’s imagination to life. Use their pencil, pen or marker to create series of characters that will express the emotions. Students will get to study the proportions, costuming, composition and colour to illustrate each Manga personality. They will learn how to apply the drawing techniques to establish the characters they wish to immortalize through art and invent own universes and personalities. The course will also cover the design of creative costumes, from school uniforms to kimonos and battles gears, creating interesting weapons, accessories, pets and sidekicks. The duration of the course is flexible, from 4 to 8 sessions. With additional sessions, students will get to learn progressively more techniques to improve on different aspects of their Manga creation. The course is suitable for all school ages. Pace and coverage will be adjusted according to age and prior experiences of the students in Manga and comics drawing. Digital content are available to support self-directed learning. Access to these digital content is available to all students regardless whether it is an on-site or digital format course.
