Besides technical knowledge, other aspects such as safety, communication skills and working as a team will be emphasised throughout the sessions. Content can be customised after a site recce at the school’s PA system and scenarios will be taught to the students to better handle various conditions when setting up PA systems. Introduction to the audio mixer / soundboard will be explained and fundamentals of audio mixing will be taught. From lows to highs, setting frequencies and gains, students will walk away with knowledge of operating analog and digital soundboards. Guided by professionals with experience in the audio production and events industry, this programme also hopes to spark interest and help aspiring students who want to join the production, events and entertainment industry by providing them industry-standard exposure to audio equipment and sound system setups at concerts and events. Through fun-learning activities and hands-on experience, students can expect to take away both technical knowledge and soft skills after the series of sessions. For LIVE versions, schools can opt for an excursion to the studio to experience the full experience as an audio crew. For DIGITAL versions, students will experience the performance through platforms (such as YouTube / Vimeo / Zoom) to watch in the classrooms/during home-based learning.
