Programme Synopsis • This fusion illustration programme will lead students in designing personalised characters and creatively customising them. In the process, it will impart basic graphic layout capabilities. The lessons will also help them understand the artistic process of a comic artist and how emulating the workflow can hone visual communication skills. Throughout the course, project and time management skills are nurtured so as to inculcate good planning habits and have them apply critical thinking. Special Applications • Suitable for design of school mascot • Suitable to be adapted for team building amongst students • Suitable to be conducted using digital drawing apps software. • Suitable for pre-production for film-making as visual storyboarding presentation * Differentiated Learning provided for different age groups. Customisable to school’s preferred themes. Digital/Blended lesson delivery: Trainer will employ dual screen set up so that students can see both the trainers face and the trainer demo on the table in real time. For lessons with mixed online and on-site lessons, lessons with more theory based learning or not requiring live demonstration by trainer will be slated during online/Asynchronous learning slots and materials provided accordingly for the students’ perusal. For students with individual devices: Share screen via Zoom application or equivalent. Students to upload artworks onto Cloud platforms eg. Padlet, Google classrooms near the end of key sessions for trainer to view and assess their progress. For students using shared class device: Requires school teachers’ coordination to highlight questions from students and to take pictures of students’ works for trainers to view and assess their progress.

The Tote Board Arts Grant was introduced in 1995 to encourage the development of a vibrant arts culture in schools, and to promote arts appreciation amongst students.

Each year, all MOE schools and ITE Colleges may opt-in to receive the Arts Grant. Schools may use the grant to subsidise the purchase of programmes under the NAC-AEP and for the Artist-in-School Scheme (AISS).

All approved programmes are listed on the NAC-AEP Directory and come with a valid Letter of Eligibility.

Please ensure that a valid Letter of Eligibility (LOE) is obtained. Note that MOE procurement guidelines apply.

Payment should be made directly to the programme provider. Claims for the Arts Grant should be made via IFAAS and in accordance to Grant Guidelines.

Programme providers are permitted to make changes to the following aspects of an NAC-AEP, according to the school’s needs:

  • Programme duration, including no. of sessions
  • Cost of programme
  • Class size



Under the above conditions, schools can make claims based on revised programme costs using the same Programme ID listed on the Letter of Eligibility (LOE).

The following changes are not permitted when customising programmes:

  • Changes to content
  • Inclusion of non-approved instructor(s)
