Programme Synopsis Embark on a unique sensory fabric art programme at Kamal Arts, specially designed for students with diverse learning needs. This experience begins with an engaging exploration of vibrant Batik and Tie-Dye artworks, celebrating cherished traditions deeply rooted in Singaporean and Asian culture, followed by joyful, hands-on creation. Participants will immerse their senses in beautiful colours and textures before crafting their own masterpieces. Using safe, learner-centric methods, students will paint on pre-waxed batik cloths (no hot wax involved!) or discover the instant magic of traditional tie-dye with indigo for delightful results. These art-making activities, designed to be fun and memorable, can be enjoyed individually or as a collaborative group project, fostering teamwork and shared accomplishment. Our experienced facilitators ensure a supportive and highly adaptable environment, tailoring the workshop to suit a broad spectrum of abilities for a successful and rewarding artistic journey. This hands-on process not only nurtures creative expression and self-confidence but also develops essential fine motor skills and process planning. Hosted at the fully accessible Kamal Arts studio located at Wisma Geylang Serai, the vibrant hub of Singapore's Malay cultural activities, this workshop provides an enriching and culturally immersive experience. The venue is equipped with proper facilities, and its unique location offers further opportunities to connect with local heritage, making it more than just an art session. Differentiation Strategies (to be applied throughout): Art activity will be tailored to suit the group's functional ability. Example: Pre-waxed batik painting (choice of 2-3 colours), participation in a community batik piece, or a simple one-step indigo tie-dye on a bandana/small cloth.
